Reflections from the Fire

FULL MOON FIRE 2025
On a chilly night in March, as the full moon looked down on us, eighteen of us gathered and together we built a ceremonial fire. As the flames rose, we chanted whispered prayers for ourselves, our loved ones and the Earth itself. Each person brought their own intentions, releasing them into the night with the crackle of wood and the power of our breath.

Later, we read the fire, letting its shifting shapes and sparks reveal messages and guidance. The only light came from the fire itself and the moon above, illuminating our faces filled with awe, joy, and deep emotion. Tears mingled with laughter as gratitude for life and all its gifts flowed freely through the circle.

Later we gathered over bowls of soup to share reflections and stories. New friendships began to form, weaving another layer of connection into the night’s magic. It was truly an evening of spirit, community, and wonder.

SUMMER SOLSTICE FIRE 2025

Later in the year on the evening of the Summer Solstice, twenty three of us gathered, some familiar faces from past ceremonies, and others joining for the first time. This time, we came together in the lingering light of the year’s longest day, under the watchful glow of the summer sun. It was a very different experience holding the ceremony in the light, but still so  joyful and celebratory.

We sang and chanted, our voices carried by the beat of drums and the rhythm of rattles. The flames danced white-hot and alive, drawing us in and holding us.

When we called upon the Earth Keepers and the Guardians of the land to join us and the fire reawakened burning with renewed vigor… answering the invitation.

Later, we gathered to share food and stories and some stayed by the fire, continuing the celebration with drumming and song, carrying the energy of the Solstice into the night.

Good morning Fire dreamers …. l loved the ceremony last night from start to finish, or could I say from the start to new beginnings? It is really quite something to meet a new community of people who said ‘YES’. I loved the connection and I’m grateful and delighted to now have wonderful memories of last night, of us all making the fire, 🔥 in community. As we carefully placed the sticks, we sang, we let go of things and offered our dreams, and the fire certainly responded and to witness us each doing this was something to behold, I will keep this magical memory with me.  Thank you.

Thank you so much for the magical fire. I felt immersed in peace and hope and I am feeling somehow “better” this morning.
The memory of the beauty of the glowing lines on the twigs as embers stays with me.

I love that we are the ‘Fire Dreamers’ 🔥it was so beautiful and mesmerising, I can still feel it’s warmth. I also l felt the presence of the trees so tall and strong giving protection and strength . The moon seemed to follow me home and the stars were so bright
I slept so well last night, the best sleep for along time! It was so wonderful to meet everyone and be part of this lovely group, thank you for including me. I feel I am at the beginning of a journey, so much energy and love

Connecting deep within,
The movement out flows naturally,
A flower opening
In its own time.

Finding our unique light,
Community collects and manifests,
As woodland primroses
Carpet the banks.

Gathering together,
The fire calls us fiercely,
As flames leap up
And touch our hearts.

Each one a brilliant star,
Just here in constellation
For a moment
Of trust and truth.
